Applications

Sorbitan Monooleate MONEMUL® - 80 is a blue color viscous oily liquid, non-ionic, lipophillic (oil loving) surfactant, mainly used as a stabilizer, bodying agent, softener, Opacifiers (in cosmetic and pharmaceutical cream and lotions), coupling agent (for medicants), friction modifier and rust preventives (in petroleum oils) and textile and leather lubricant. It is also used in the preparation of water-in-oil emulsifier for neutral, mildly alkaline and acidic pH system. Emulsion Explosives can be created using this emulsifier. For the packaged explosives, it is used as co-surfactant with MOLESAN™ 909 and MOLESAN™ DG6 (Polymerized emulsifiers). High HLB product MONEBAT™ – RX80 (POLYSORBATE – 80, Polyoxyethylene (20) Sorbitan Mono Oleate) can be produced using MONEMUL® - 80 as the base raw material.
